What is a portfolio?
A portfolio is a collection of your work that contains concrete examples of your interpreting skills, highlights your real-world experiences as well as your academic achievements, and shares your reflections about your skills and qualifications as an interpreter. There are many reasons to develop a portfolio-to demonstrate your growth as a professional, to showcase your best work, to reflect on your learning.
Portfolios are used by employers to assess the quality of your work when you apply for a job. They are used by teachers to determine your level of achievement in a course or program. Most importantly, they are used by you as a way to demonstrate what you have learned, and what you can do.
